Hello everyone . Welcome to the weekly spend challenge. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.
On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track. We colour code the results as below:
Green - within budget
Red - overbudget
Purple - zero spend
Yellow - made money over the week
This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever.

Afternoon Budgeteers
I was red last week. This week is going to be busy with OH birthday so I am going for £80 as all presents are bought but I am taking him out for dinner on Thursday. Also I'm off work Thursday and Friday so not sure what we will be doing yet.
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

I am going to be out from Wednesday (all budgetted for then on) thus the £20 are for Sun/Mon and Tues. £0 so far and declaring today an NSD.
Good luck everybodyMFW on your mark0 -
I don't have a total spend report for this month but please mark me down for very red ! A spontaneous craft purchase meant that I went way over budget and I haven't kept proper track of my other spends so will declare this week as over budget !
I would like to set my budget this week at £53.45 - high again
but I am at the theatre this week so dinner out and probably a souvenir programme
, also need to pay for bus fare (£1 a day m - f) plus my weekly spend allowance of £18 and some bits from Slimming World. Will *aim* to come in under budget this week !!
have a good week all

hi everyone... I was red last week, went out a couple of times for lunch/dinner with a friend who i don't see very often so i don't mind. and it hasn't actually damaged my monthly budget thanks to the extra money i got last week.
Can I have £10 this week please? I haven't got any more christmas presents to buy, and I have a dinner tomorrow but that was planned in my budget.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16

Afternoon all,
Green last week for me at £14.20 - very pleased. It was mostly because of the snow being so bad I couldn't get anywhere to spend anything!
This week the groceries and the last couple of christmas bits are budgeted for so I'll go for £20.00 please pointyI myself am made entirely of flaws, stitched together with good intentions...0 -
Evening all
Another snow-filled day in sunny Scotland with much road chaos. Luckily I have been stuck at home all day studying. So spends for yesterday were £1 on coffee at work. Everything else has been spent out of the grocery budget.
I have my exam tomorrow so I need to make it into work for that, it will be interesting! I am supposed to be having my hair cut tomorrow if the salon is open but that comes from beauty budget. So hopefully I can make green this week.Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Spent £1.35 at work so far, 50p on chocolate yesterday and 85p on a latte today.Debt free 11/05/11!
Savings £4000/ £3000 -
Evening all,
It is very cold here, my face went numb when I got outside. Also in sad news I have a frozen pipe so half the flat does not have water. Unfortunately it is the water pipe that feeds the boiler that is frozen so no hot water but on a positive note the toilet still works:T
I spent £4 on breakfast and coffee in the canteen at work before my exam. Then £5 on stamps (rest went into change pot) for xmas cards. So total £10 / £80. Other spends were on food and come out of grocery budget.
Fingers crossed it gets above zero tomorrow or I may cry:(Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Hope your exam went ok PP?
Nothing spent here this week, so far. I managed to spend hardly anything on our annual christmas dinner and been too tired to bother doing much.Became Mrs Scotland 16.01.16
