hi Guys,
I make regular calls to Canada and have our home phone with Sky,I used to use a service provider to overide these calls(18866) but it looks like sky have now removed this facility.I have looked at the callchecker tool on this site but am unsure how much sky charge for 0844 numbers and indead if this is the cheapest option.
Any sugestions very welcome.
Thanks,
Mandy

Open a www.18185.co.uk account (same firm as 18866 but operated separately) and use their freephone gateway number (0808 1 703 703) to make calls to Canada for a quarter of what you're paying now (5p connection + ½p per minute).

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
They do have a £ 5 a month inclusive bundle which includes inclusive calls to Canada you pay a connection fee for each call though.

If its just Canada landline / mobiles you are looking for, then you do not really need the above plan. You should rather go for Sky Talk Unlimited

This is £5 a month and calls to Canada are inclusive (no connection fee too).0 -

Thanks guys,
I think this will be the best option as sometimes it would cost less than £5 per month
