Scored for redundancy while suffering depression - help!

Hello,

As the title suggests, I have recently been selected for redundancy.
For approx. 18 months now I have been suffering for depression (diagnosed earlier this summer). My employer is aware of this and also that I am undergoing treatment for it.

My question is, having already survived redundancy processes on 3 consecutive years, can I argue that my scoring against the selection criteria may have been undermined by my depression and if so would this provide any grounds for a successful appeal?

I think it is fair to argue that the depression has directly affected my score and therefore it would be unfair to assess me on this basis.

Thanks!

In what way did it affect your score? Did you advise them that you were struggling with your work as a result of your condition, and ask for help to rectify this?
    Gone ... or have I?

I advised my work that my productivity and concentration were suffering as a result and that I had self-referred to my local Primary Care Mental Health team. My employer was satisfied with this and offered further assistance if there was no improvement after my treatment finished. I believe my scores associated with productivity etc. have been higher in the past and would have been higher had I not been suffering from depression. I am currently only halfway through my treatment so it is unrealistic to expect instant improvement?
