Fixonline 7 is not Economy 7 which is cheaper electricity at night. Do you have an Economy 7 meter? If you have storage heaters then you may do, otherwise probably not. Fixonline simply means that you pay a higher price than standard with a guarantee that the price won't go up until a certain date stated at the beginning. Someone else will know about that particular deal.
  • do you know what the rate is on FixOnline 7 we pay by direct debit monthly to try save a bit

Fixonline7 rates (according to my records/last bill) are:

    Electricity
Primary rate (first 900kWh used per year): 20.02p/kWh
    Secondary rate: 10.05p/kWh

    Gas
Primary rate (first 2680kWh used per year): 6.214p/kWh
    Secondary rate: 3.008p/kWh

This is before the discounts of 6% for paying by direct debit, 2% for dual fuel and 18.8% for doing it online.
VAT is to be added at 5%.

Fix Online 7 is the standard Eon tariff unit rates with the standard 8% discount (dual fule and direct debit (6% if single fuel)) and then an additional discount for online billing. As per victor2's eg 18.8% ol discount, but the discount varies by MPAN area. Right now no product on the market that will be cheaper, and the unit rate is guaranteed until 1st May 2011
  • cheers guys seems like i,ve got the best one for now then :)
