Maybe my maths isn't what it used to be but surely £7.24 for 10 makes them 72p per disc?

That's a poor rate what firmware do your have the on NEC and which version of Nero etc are you using?

I have a few NECs no coaster ever, but then I've only done a few dual layer discs.
    Seth.
  • I have just started using a dvd writer and I have done a bit of research into good quality media - this page shows four different classes:

    http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

I never realised it was so complicated!

Anyway, I found these which are a decent price and are in the top quality category:

£6.75 without delivery (not printable though).

It uses a Taiyo Yuden dye.

TTG02 is a TDK dye, not bad but not as good as Taiyo Yunden(TYG02). They are also single layer (dvd5) where as the OP posted dual layer(dvd9) :)

ive got firmware 1.04 using nero 6.6.1.4, always use the verify option and thats were it comes up with errors
  • Yep, sorry - my mistake! Probably should have started a new thread!
  • Rubbish disks to be honest. Even if its not a coaster, they won't last that long and wont be the most reliable.

For the most reliable disks, look for verbatims. For a good compromise of great reliable DVD+R DL, at a good price, look at Traxdata. SVP sell them for about £1.15 each.

  • Looks like a good price, and according to the site are compatible with a Xbox 360.

I've always used Traxdata and Verbatim so far. Cheapest I've found Traxdata for is £11.99 for ten from More For Your Monkey.
