Guys, my current model is like my seat...........falling apart!( see other thread)
Are the cheap Dell models worth buying - thinking of their buy now, pay later offer or has anyone other recommendations? Nothing too flash, not playing games etc, thanks!

Hi Parisien,
As you've had no luck on the I Wanna board, I've moved your thread over to the techie board to see if you can get some help there.

We got one on ebuyer for my 18yo. We didn't buy a monitor as he already had one. Pay within 6 months and it's interest free. It has good specs and is very fast. There are loads of other ones though.

Read the reviews.
It comes with a 3yr warranty as well.0 -

If you aren't into games, then any model nowadays will do, all the Dells are fine and reliable.

It's handy to have 512 or more of ram, because XP likes that much to run smoothly, but you can always buy that later from https://www.crucial.com
Not sure if Dell do this, but some famous high street companies who do buy now pay later, either load the price with the interest, or if you miss a payment add on 30% on the total amount, so if you go down that route, read the small print, and make sure you always pay on time.
Nowadays, I buy second hand, you can waste a lot of money on the latest kit, when a year or two old one would do.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Thanx again guys....you're all mini-stars!0
