Hi all this is my first post and I'm in need of some assistance.
I've recently started a new job (phones4u) and the bank account details I've foolishly gave are my partners, not a big problem however the name on the account I've put as my name, when in-fact the name on the account is my partners! So I'm guessing it will be rejected because of the name? If so I won't be paid this side of Christmas as it's to late to change! Please help me!
Will it still go in the account as it's all processed by numbers and the actual account name is irrelevant? Simeone please enlighten me ASAP!
Thanks in advance.
Jake.

i've always found it to be just done by numbers, as you only need your sort code and account number to pay any money in anywhere, so technically i don't think it should be a problem unless they do check it is in your name.:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

So when they initially make the payment it will all be generated by computer as the thousands that will be payed on the same day from the same company. In that sence is it likely it will be rejected by the name? And thanks for the swift reply!0

is it likely it will be rejected by the name?
No. It will be paid via BACS Direct Credit ....... and it's matched by Sort Code / Account number only.
The name is only a 2nd line of defence in the event it fails to make a match and bounces into a Suspense account. Some organisations will then use the name in an attempt to match manually. Won't happen in your case. But it's not total sense to pay salary into someone else's account? I would change it shortly after pay day?If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
It doesn't matter whose name the account is in, the system will only look at the sort code and account number. You could put 'Mickey Mouse' as the name and it would get to the same place.0

Pheww! Thanks guys I've just breathed one huge sigh of reliefe! It would have been a big problem if they went by the name as Christmas is nearly here and I wouldn't of had many gifts! Thanks so much!
