Flight sim joysticks

Can anybody offer some advice on which is better joystick/yoke for the MS flight sim 2000 and 2004.At present have a 2axis joystick with 2 buttons ok but could be better.Have heard good and bad reports about CH yokes and SaitekX52 joysticks.I appreciate it is a personal thing which you use and the final choice will be down to me but good and bad points would be useful to help make up my mind.Have seen two nice ones in Maplins one £19 the other £34.
Thanks in anticipation of any help.

3 axis with 4 buttons will give you more control, but tbh, for the full experience, you'd probably need to consider a flight yoke. This will give you all sorts of options, such as buttons for flaps, trim, yaw control, along with a dedicated throttle and the usual range of buttons. Bit pricier though.
I have a PC Line 3 axis 4 button bought from PC World, and it works fine with FS2004. If you intend to upgrade to FSX, it may be an idea to check the specs though, as they will have enhanced features included in it which may require more inputs.

I have an older version of the saitek with throttle, never had any problems very solid.
