Hi all
I am trying to fix my niece's laptop. I reinstalled windows and all found all of her drivers, except she did have wireless internet, but that doesn't work any more? Do I need to reinstall something for that?
There is one USB Unknown Device, could it be that?
How do I find out what this Unknown Device is, and how do I get wireless internet connection again.
Thanks
PS it's a Medion computer about 4 years old.

Not sure if you mean she has a wireless network connection to a router, or wireless broadband via a dongle, but whichever - if you have a USB network adaptor plugged in, unplug it and if the "Unknown Device" disappears, that's it!
But more seriously, if you've just let Windows find drivers for the PC's devices, you probably won't have a PC that works properly. You really need to go to Medion's website and search for the motherboard drivers for that PC.
You may then find that the USB "unknown device" is a hub or enhanced controller, rather than a network device.
If you've done that, you then need to find the make and model of USB network device, go to the maker's website and download the appropriate drivers for that device. If it's a broadband dongle, the Service Provider should have the drivers available on their support website.0
