I am in the rather nice position of work giving me £600 to buy a new lap-top. I have read a couple computer magazines and was thinking of getting an HP easynote tx86 go-035uk (any other recomendations welcomed) best prices i can seem to find are pc world , dixons and currys all about £549. they also seem to sell re-furbished ones for about £100 less My question is, is it a good choiceof lap-top (it will be used for general home use - not much of a games user), secondly are these computer sheds much the same as the crap-fits and the home-bodges of his world ( i would much prefer to use a smaller customer friendly store), thirdly re-furbished lap-top good or bad idea?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

funny packard bell seem to make the exact same model as your HP

Personally I'd buy a refurb. The question is also are there lots of refurbs - as is there an inherent problem?
Not sure if i would buy a packard bell. I have a hp, had an IBM, have a dell and used toshiba and they all worked well.0 -
This one is a bit better and cheaper if you go through quidco.
