My main needs,
Photoshop CS5
watching DVD's (or Blu Ray quality video)
Don't do any gaming, but just want a processor that can multitask seamlessly.
Only need a base unit as i have screen, speakers etc sorted.
At the moment im leaning towards one of the Medion Akoya's but thats because i havent found anything else that matches them for the price,
Cheers for the advice:beer:

Slightly overpriced but someone may find similar specs to it cheaper from an alternative company
The 6 core processor will multitask seamlessly.

anyone else got an opinion?

not an opinion, just a quick note
Photoshop 4/5 both make use of the GPU, taking much of the workload from the CPU, the GPU is that medion is...er....pants, it may meet the spec required, but it's not gonna pull its weight as it's only a baby step above onboard graphics.

Mixed reviews, but I have been looking at the following. Reduce the memory to 4GB and Harddrive to 500Gb to get nearer your budget
