The new hotmail has messenger built into it. It was changed a few weeks ago. Since then I've been getting the following error in Firefox:
"A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
Script: https://js2.wlxrs.com/_D/$Live.Sitecontent.messenger/4.2.59120/release/Microsoft.Live.Core.Localstorage.FF.js:39"
I've googled it and a few other people have had the same problem but no fix is available from what I can see.
Chrome also has an issue with the new hotmail - it sits there for half an hour or more trying to connect to messenger.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

can you just not sign out of messenger:
hold your mouse over your name in the top right corner, in the menu that pops up click 'sign out of messenger'
should fix it.0
