I am looking to get a dvd video recorder to get all my old vid's onto DVD - any recommendations and what should I be looking for in way of features. (budget is up to £250.00)

might be a good idea to get one with freeview built in to future proof it a little. If possible get a dual format (+ and - ) machine. You may also consider getting one with a built in hard drive so that you dont waste disks.
It seems that panasonic products seem to be held in high regard by their owners, some other makes seem to have proven to be less reliable.

I have just bought a Sharp combi, it is Divix compatable and has progressive scan from Hitchens via Ebay for £115 cheapest i could find it eslewhere was £170, it arrived next day
