I understand that, but I don't think every low life in Glasgow has a good job etc. Surely they take that into consideration? Sorry if I came across annoyed there but I wasn't.

and talking about "low life" isnt "coming across"???

Just incase anyone was interested. I was accepted and received the money about a week later. All they asked for was my most recent wage slip! Merry Christmas!!

i can't see this happening, you've had an account with them for 6 weeks and your first loan was 2k, any credit union i know limits 1st loan to £500 so you can establish a bit of credit rating with them, it has to show on your account for them to see that you are a regular saver, 6 weeks at £45pw is not a established rating as you have no security. bull or horse?

Whether you can see it happening or not is irrelevant. It happened! Maybe if you are close enough you should join gcu if your not happy with the one you are in!

I recokon you'd pay twice the rate for that at a mainstream bank. Great value.

Correct! My own bank was about 22%. Cheapest bank I could find for a loan of £2000 was A&L at a rate of about 16%.
