The prize

Dragoman (www.dragoman.com), the global tour operator, which next year celebrates its 30th anniversary, and Telegraph Travel are offering two people the chance to take part in the Rio Carnival.
The winner will have VIP tickets to the Sambadrome as well as the chance to join the parade and attend the Gay Ball.

The package includes international flights, four-star accommodation in Copacabana, half-day trips to Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain, a sunset boat trip on Guanabara Bay, a visit to a model favela and a guided tour of Rio’s colonial past.

To enter
Send us a tip based on a carnival or street festival you have witnessed while on holiday abroad. It could be anything from a religious procession to an annual parade but it must be less than 100 words.

Then enter by posting your tip here before midnight on December 14. The most interesting and informative tip, chosen by Telegraph Travel, will win.
