URGENT - Question about Woolworths Big Red Book payment
Comments
-
I'll check with the boss tomorrow to confirm it, and let you know tomorrow. Im the till assistant and no-one had bothered to tell me! lol0
-
best way to confirm is before you order get the till assistant to ring the office and confirm that they do. They "should" have a phone behind the counter so it should only take a sec to do.0

Hi I have emailed customer services about this and was told you could use woolies vouchers to pay for things from the big red book when you pay in store If thats any help0
-
talked to boss today and he says that vouchers are fine as now we take cash we can now take vouchers. He couldnt understand why i was asking the question!!! lol
but there does seem to be a few hiccups with the iso at the mo!
So if when you come to pick something up and things take abit longer than it should please dont blame us. If things on the till dont go as they should then we have to call a manager (who doesnt know anymore than us) and he has to call somone else (who probably knows even less than us) lol
We'll get there in the end promise!! lol0 -
My mom works at woolworths and she said she has done a few orders from the book with high street vouchers must be lack of training/communication at the store you went toNumber 4 due 21st jan0

Thanks for all of your answers
I did email Customer services, and so did my Mother In Law, as she was having the same problem.
Here are the two replies we had (MILs first):
Dear Mrs *******
Thank you for your e-mail,
I was sorry to read that you were unable to redeem your vouchers in our Lichfield store. Unfortunately we are unable to accept the vouchers for in store ordering because we do not have the facilities to process the payment.
Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by this.
If you require any further assistance, with this query or any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us either by e-mail at customer.relations@woolworths.co.uk or by telephone on 0870 411 7112.

And the reply I received:
Dear Mr *******
Thank you for your e-mail,
I have looked in to this for you and it is an error in the Big Red Book. I am happy to advise we do accept High street vouchers for instore orders but not for phone or internet orders.
Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience caused by this.
If you require any further assistance, with this query or any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us either by e-mail at customer.relations@woolworths.co.uk or by telephone on 0870 411 7112.

Both emails were received within an hour of eachother, and were from the same Customer Advisor. It seems like Head Office don't even know the correct answer to this one
At least I've got this website to point me in the right direction :T0 -
it could be that the lichfield store hasnt got the updated version of the instore ordering software yet. When it first came out we could only take credit crards and not cash or vouchers. Now its been updated we can take cash and vouchers.
When you emailed head office did you both ask about the same store?0 -
Any ideas Catsonic on my query re offers. Ie If there is an offer for example 25% of Lego would you get that through ISO, at the time you ordered or the time you pick up your order. They normally run this promotion on the run up to Xmas - which is v handy as DS1 would like lego set at £60!!!
Would appreciate any info you can give - thanksNo Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:

Just out of interest, have all Woolworths till staff been told that you now accept American Express cards? I got an assistant who clearly didn't know this the other day...0
