Weekend (zomg this snow wont leave) daily chat Dec 4th / 5th

omg, this snow wont go away AND it feels like ive been punched in the face :(

im also hungry and well hankering for a kebab after 3 beers and 6 vodka / diet cokes.

plus, earliest start to weekend daily chat ever?

So, even though im ever so slightly still smeshed from tonight, whats YOUR goal this weekend?

Personally i'm aiming for a trip to the gym (got a free ticket for the next week!) and also maybe some nice wee beers at the local, and make a further push on the old christmas shopping.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

    Hi Doomcow,

I'm hoping for a trip to the gym tomorrow, will possibly visit my parents and will also indulge in a glass or 2 of red wine. I'll also watch a bit of the football if it goes ahead. Tonight I may even start wrapping christmas presents!! I hope everyone else enjoys the weekend whatever they do.

  • Mornin',

Hope y'all don't mind if I join you here? The more, the warmer after all...

Wide awake at silly o'clock on a Saturday, great... *sarcasm*

I have my driving theory test at 9am , should be fine (famous last words), I've already passed it once, but that was 5 years ago and the certificate is both expired and nowhere to be seen.

Was supposed to be having a driving lesson as well, but have had to cancel as I'm on call to do overtime at work this afternoon. So that's £20 saved and potentially £30 or so earned.

Other plans, should I not be working, involve giving my room and the kitchen a clean, and baking a cake to take over to my parents tomorrow.

    Have a fab day, all

Morning all. Its a shivery start to the day.

Have grocery shopping to do but wont be venturing out of the house after that is done. Definitely a weekend for staying home and keeping warm.

I hate the ice more than the snow.
  • Morning all!

I'm up bright and (sort of) early as I need to get my rent out of the bank to give the landlord, it's already 4 days late! I've been having a bit of a blip lately money wise but hopefully that should be sorted after the New Year. As well as getting the rent, I'm going to do a bit of food shopping then get some washing done as the dryer's just been fixed and the washing's piled up a bit from when it was broken.

Is it just me or does anyone else ever feel better getting up and getting on with stuff than they would've done if they'd had a lie-in? Or is that just me being weird? :o

    Hi everybody

On a Christmas shopping mission this weekend! So far all from the sofa - 3 items ordered from Amazon (Nectar points vouchers) and an item reserved at Argos (more Nectar)

4 presents bought, no money spent - and all from the warmth of my sofa :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning all

Kayleigh, I feel exactly the same as you. I'm always far more productive if I get up early and get on with things, and then that motivates me to do even more. Having said that, I'm still in bed with a cuppa and a bowl of porridge :D

I have been up, made a lasagne and delivered it to the church for the bazaar today so I've not been totally lazy.

Plan for today: tidy the living room. Actually, it's been the plan for the last 2 months but you can't rush these things eh?

really....it's not hard to understand :T

I agree too - a lie in is lovely but when I do it I seem to end up doing nothing all day :o

    Morning

I am with you all on the lie in front - I am the same Shoegal, if I lie in really late, I then tend to just sit on the sofa all day waiting for bed time! I made myself get up this morning so I can do the front room before my daughter gets up and then we can put the decorations up and do other Christmassy things.

She has a couple of commissions to make (jewellery) and I want to wrap some presents and also we are organising a raffle for our local Christmas Market next Sunday, so I would like to get the prizes wrapped and ready as much as I can.

I am supposed to be going to York on Tuesday and coming back Wednesday which I am really not looking forward to - it is a long drive and in this weather not welcome at all. If it remains bad up there I might not go but feel guilty because it is to attend a conference that my company have paid for, plus the hotel room, so would mean them losing out on about £400! So I am on weather watch again this week!
