Assuming you mean you have just decided to start the buying process...... impossible to answer without more info.
This 'free' survey? I'm guessing your mortgage lender is doing a valuation survey. It is for THEIR benefit not yours (to ensure the property is worth what they are !!!!!!!) but they'll let you see it. It is a VALUATION. Not a survey, so will not give much detail at all.
If you want to be sure of the property's condition, you need your own SURVEY (as opposed to valuation).
