I think he sent payment as a 'gift' as address did not show up.
anyway i shipped the item the very next day and sent him tracking info.
today i checked my paypal balance and the payment has been reversed!!!
what do i do?
any way i can stop the item `getting to him??
if not how can i get the money back or the item???
HELPPP??

If it was sent as a gift I think as no goods are supposed to have changed hands then there is no protection.
Have you checked with PayPal and the buyer to see what happened to the money.
I have no experience and following information was from a quick search only:
If you think this was a scam then read the FAQ on the US Internet Crime Complaint Center these state: If one of the two parties involved is located within the United States, please feel free to file a complaint..
To find the FAQ Google: Internet Crime Complaint Center FAQ .
Perhaps also consumer direct may be of some help:

Hopefully someone here with more experience will come along soon.0 -
Never pay for goods with a GIFT PAYMENT. No comeback at all from Paypal.
You were circumventing their fee's so they are not likely to be in a position to help.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

OP didn't pay for goods and a gift payment is a perfectly acceptable way of transferring funds between people that know each other. It is not designed for goods though where a buyer needs any protection.
OP, you say you 'think' this was a gift payment, can you check as it should not be possible to withdraw one of those. The way to tell is to see whether you paid fees or not.
Th eother hting is that as a gift payment cna only come from cleared paypal funds if a fee is to be avoided this makes even less sense as it can't be any of the normal sort of chargebacks.
