Never ceases to amaze me how often conveyancing solicitors take fridays off.

I am amazed at how many accept Friday as a good day for completion.

True. When something goes wrong, or even when there's just a small delay, everyone had to wait a weekend for things to even begin to get sorted.

Removal men are cheaper on other days.

lawyers don't care when the client completes, the client does, der!

clients like Friday as they can move in over the next two days without taking them as holiday.

no brainer, well for some posters.
My posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:

My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o
  • With previous properties we have wanted Friday as a completion date so it gave us the weekend to move in and get sorted without having to take time off work.

This time round (as we are not moving in right away) we didn't mind what day of the week it is, it's only Friday because Nationwide need 5 days to transfer funding.
