Any ideas for Christmas away this year?

Has anyone got any great ideas for a Christmas away this year? We can go from the 23rd to the 31st, and we're a family of 2 adults and 2 five year olds.

We are contemplating the Flamingo Oasis in Benidorm, we went earlier this year and while we were there someone told us how good it was at Christmas there. It's an all inclusive hotel, but the price is currently £1900 for 7 nights.

Has anyone been anywhere that they have great entertainment suitable for all? Either here or overseas, don't mind, but the £1900 would really be hitting the top of our budget.

We just want to get away this year!!

This will be our 1st year away at Christmas and we are going to Majorca for 11 days(18th-29th Dec)
I managed to get us flights with Bmibaby,hotel through freedom direct on all inclusive and taxi transfers with shuttle direct all for £320 each.
I have just gone on reviews etc,so god knows what i have booked lol

Well, I don't like the idea of Tunisia or Egypt. Apart from that anythings ok. Four star or above would be a bonus.

Last year we invited a 'friend' of our age-group to come for Christmas lunch because she was going to be on her own, daughter hadn't invited her, son lived too far away, she doesn't like driving in the dark, has to take her little dog with her etc etc...

I thought she was going to stay the night as she 'didn't want to go back to an empty house after the meal' and 'doesn't like driving in the dark'. I think she might have been there for ever only possibly our choices of TV weren't approved of!!!

All in all, it was a bit of a disaster. I told my DH 'Never do that to me again'. However, looking at Travelscope, we could go somewhere different every Christmas, and why not?
