Got an email from Vanity Fair:

'All Vanity Fair A-List members have the chance to win one of three Best Christmas Hampers (either Sketch's Queen's Croquet Club Hamper,or The Full Albion Christmas Hamper worth £150 each or Gauthier Wines Christmas Hamper worth £280). To enter the prize draw, simply send your details (name, address, email) to hampers@bacchus-pr. com by Friday December 10, 2010. Terms and conditions apply.'

Details:

A hamper at Christmas is like an advent calendar for grown-ups. Especially if all those goodies arrive in a box filled with little polystyrene bits then scrimmaging around for the treats at the bottom becomes like a lucky-dip - which frankly is hellishly exciting.
But this year be open minded about where your hamper's from; it doesn't have to be from the obvious, establishment shops. So think outside the wicker basket and consider these top hamper ideas;

For the chic and quirky Sketch Queen's Croquet Club Hamper; Alice in Wonderland inspired, includes Pierre Gagnaire macaroons, a Blaue Blume set, Sketch jasmine tea jelly, bespoke playing cards, a white chocolate rabbit all comes in a wooden birdcage.
For the wine buff Gauthier Wines Hamper; a bottle of Gosset Grand Mill!sime Champagne (1999), Amarone della Valpolicella Bertani (2000) and Mas Daumas Gassac, Vin de Pays de l'H!rault (1996) to be laid down or glugged over Christmas.
For the gourmand The Full Albion Hamper (from Boundary, Sir Terence Conran's boutique hotel); traditional artisan products including chutney, biscuits, tea, chocolate, smokes salmon, Neal's Yard cheese, beer and Christmas pud.
For the Italophile - soho deli Gelupo Hamper (the off-shoot of trattoria Bocca di Lupo); homemade pasta and sauces, cheese, olives.
For the Shoreditch House crowd - Pizza East Hamper; a hamper for two includes miniature panettone, seasonal fruits, mulled wine sachet, cured Italian meats, sweets and treats. For bread-lovers Poilane Hamper; these bakers, have either a sweet or salt hamper to choose from including either their famous bread, Guerande sea salt, a Savory Tartines recipe book or butter cookies, jams, candies and Sweet Tartines recipe book.

    Does the same for me Hun - both email link in OP and in GB's merged comp listing at post #5. Doesn't do this from any other email link in MSE (which goes through gmail, as per my email set-up) - I've not got yahoo either!

    HTH :)
