Cheaper tyres

Hi, i was in kwikfit yesterday with fan belt problems... over heard the man infront of me asking about tyre prices, as i will be needing some soon i listened in... apparently you can purchase the tyres cheaper online through the kwik fit website, you have to pay online i think and book in an appointment online then go get them fitted when they arrive... from a quik look at their website looks like quite a saving!
Has anyone saved by doing it this way?
thanks

It's still expensive. Try Blackcircles, Etyres, etc aswell. Whilst cheaper than kwik fit prices, their disposal and valve prices were high when I looked.

Nope, I wouldn't trust them to fit a tyre to my wheelbarrow.;)

I've just booked the wife's car in with Kwik Fit using the method you've asked about. It was cheaper than Blackcircles when I compared prices

Anyone with the internet and who has a local fitter can save a fortune by buying tyres on line. Earlier this week I needed four tyres for our Aygo, did some research on what I would pay online prior to dropping in at the tyre specialist for comparison and give them some business. He quoted me £290 for four Continentals, I asked for something mid range and was quoted £270 for four Toyos, but I would have to wait three days for them to get some.

Went on line, ordered four Toyos from Camskill at 1pm, they were delivered 8am next morning. £135 for the tyres and £20 to fit them.

Snap! Both my cars are shod with Toyos and both sets were bought from Camskill - great service and prices (and I'm hugely impressed with the tyres, too).

I wish I could match your £5 per corner, though!

It's depressing how many people still put up with Kwifit and the like.

I'm a Camskill customer, but the price of Exalto via Kwikfit is shockingly cheap.

Crapfit will charge extra for balancing (around £20 per tyre) + then tell you your brakes, exhaust and shocks are all shot..... You'll walk away with a bill for £600 and a very sore a2se.

Still a rip off on the Kwikfit website. Remember the prices on the website do not include tyre disposal, new valve etc.
