I'm waiting for the Phnom Penh Stock Exchange to open. Now that's a market I'd be interested in following.

Ah, just wait 'till you find the bankhanders that bought their bid were money diverted from your investments!

Surely a lot of backhanders went into the fund? I reckon it will continue to go high - until Russian Revolution 2. They've done it before, and will probably do it again. Same reasons.

    But not before 2018 hopefully.

I spent two weeks there on business last year, and wouldnt touch the place with a bargepole.

    I tend to agree slightly.

The odd smile would be nice, and finding a gin & tonic at less than £15 would have been welcome also.
  • I have this fund in my H-L virtual portfolio, grrr!!! Wish I had it for real now! Well done OP!

I suspect a lot of the 4.3% in one day was just 'hype'. My JPM New Europe has done slightly better of late, but that's 60%+ Russia as well.
  • Up another 2.2% today. Makes 10% for the 5 working days of December. [Close Nov 30th: 351.3 Today Dec 7th 386.3]

I trust not. I re-invested the wife's 'bed and ISA' in these late Apr. And they've been over £1500 down in recent months. So the 'sudden' £600 profit is just reward for the wear and tear on my eardrums.

I just need Jupiter China (similar re-purchase date) to ease itself out of the remaining touch of negativity as everything else is well back into profit.

  • I sometimes follow the "Sell in May and go away. Don't come back until St Leger day". This is partly because I go on a long holiday in May and do want to be fretting about any crashes. Usually works, I must say - and saved a few bob this year I can tell you.

So a lot my my stuff I didn't buy until very end of August - to early September.

China has slowed a little bit, but am hoping it's on its way back up.

Unfortunately I was away in March and spanning over 5th April ....... so had to sell a bit early to make use of the CGT allowance + bed and ISA.
I'm assuming your fund is with Trustnet? As the figures you posted earlier don't quite tie up with mine (378.10 today) :
