Refund question

Hi there,
I'm currently dealing with a problem I have with an item I've sent. It was a lovely CD unit, but unfortunately the shipping company delstroyed it, so I'm making a claim back. In the mean time I'm refunding the customer by cheque. I don't know how much I'll be able to claim atm. Should I refund the customer for the amount of the item + the postage cost, or only half the postage?
TIA!

I would refund the full amount, it seems unfair to penalise the buyer for the delivery company's mistake.Nice to save.0

Morally, the full amount, as it's hardly the buyer's fault the delivery bods broke it.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
