Lack of time dictated to me what wash to use. It was either that or leave the clothes in the machine unwashed over night. Which was not really an option as they where needed today that is why they needed to be tumbled as they needed to aired ready to be re-worn today. Which of course in the end did not happen.
Also there is no way I would leave the machine going and go to bed to sleep that is why they where washed on a 40 degree quick wash.
So I could get them on the airer over night. Again putting them outside to dry is not a option due to being at work all day and not getting home everday until 9pm.
I am re-washing them on a 60 degree wash.

Hopefully your 60deg wash will have done the trick.
When DD was in nappies, I used to wash them (mainly) at a 40deg wash, with non-bio liquid and either white vinegar or tea tree oil in the final rinse. No fabric conditioner.
Never smelt of wee.
Unless of course the w/machine also needed a clean .... in which case, I did a wipe around of all the seals, emptied the filter and did a blind wash with white vinegar which always cleans all the powder/liquid/gunk out.
Def worth putting vinegar in the final rinse either way.
