has anyone have the dilemma whether to bring your children with you on holiday? If i won 2 tickets and accomodation for 2 for holiday ..say to europe etc, how do i go by to include my children? do you think i could just pay extra through their company, airliner or hotels? or do i have to just forget about it? thanks

I won a holiday for 4 people once when my family has 5 people in it. I rang the holiday company and asked if I could pay a child price so that we could all go and they agreed. I think it depends on the individual company.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

I know what you mean.
At the moment, I just enter the weekend/two night competitions, as I'm sure I could find someone to look after them for just two nights.
But a week! I'm not so sure:rotfl:
So I only enter the weekend comps and the family one's.0 -
It would be very unusual if the organisers wouldn't let you take other people if you're offering to pay for them. I run a few holiday comps (I work in marketing) and we always try to be as helpful and flexible as we can. Most major companies do it through an agency anyway and as far as the agency is concerned it's just more business, so i wouldn't let it put you off entering comps for fewer people.
I've twice given holiday prizes to my Mum (even though the T&Cs said the prize wouldn't be transferable) and when I won a trip to NZ the itinerary didn't go anywhere near where my family over there live, but a little negotiation sorted it out...0 -

I won a holiday to Las Vegas for two people and the company organising had no problem letting me bring my three children. The company organised the flights etc so we would all be together and as the rooms in USA are huge I did not have to pay for extra accomodation as the rooms catered for five people. Also won a family holiday to Italy for two adults and two children, again I just paid the extra flight for third child.Competitions wins 2010
