Anyone Know Who UCC Are?

Yesterday i recieved a phone call from a company called UCC, asking for my partner. As some will know due to circumstances beyond our control my partner hasnt been living here for nearly 10 weeks now. They refused to tell me what UCC stood for despite me not actually asking for any details of what they were ringing for. When i asked for the 3rd time what UCC stood for i got told 'we will put it down as incorrect contact details' and he put the phone down on me

None of the bills are in my partners name, infact he doesnt have anything here in his name everything still goes to his dads house. I am registered with TPS, and anything on online we put in a false phone number if it is required (freebies etc).

I have spoken to my partner and he has no idea who they are and we have tried googling which has bought back lots of results but nothing that makes any sense

I did 1471 after i put the phone down and the number was withheld.

Does anyone know who UCC are?

Dont know who they are.Are your details listed on B4usearch.com, or 192.com,could they have got the info from there,if your telephone number has been in the public domain in the last few years.

If you contacted your telephone service provider, its unlikely, but they may be able to suggest something.

We got inundated with calls from UCC and Welcome finance after doing a query on moneysupermarket.com.

Now if I use that site to see what's available, I put in false details

  • I have a poor credit rating and went online to moneysupermarket.com for a loan quote. I clicked on the poor rating tab and was surprised to see a Black Horse logo at the top so i clicked on the link and was taken to a black horse application form. I filled in my details and wa old that i was "provisionally accepeted" and would receivce a call within 2 hours. Thouht that to be a strange reply as i was applying @ 10pm. Putting that down as a standard reply i was surprised to find an email from UCC Loans in my junk folder the next morning. http://www.uccplc.co.uk/ as far as i was aware i was dealing with black horse as the web form had the black horse logo on it. I have since read the forums regarding moneysupermarket.com and UCC on this site and from what i can gather UCC can be quite troublesome.

Is this moneysupermarket.com misleading people with poor ratings into filling in web applications with what looks like a major high street brand when in reality its not even the same company who are offering the loan?

    Has anybody else seen this?
