G24

Hi All,
I have a parking charge notice from the above company wanting £95 for overstaying in a car park.
I have not replied but as my car had broken down and I had children to collect from school, I don't feel inclined to pay it....however, I really don't want to end up in court and I really don't want the baliffs on the doorstep.... I actually do feel a bit intimidated.......help!!

I know this has been gone through before but I think I need some reassurance please.

Your case is no different to the many others featured on here. Just relax and stop worrying. You do not owe them a penny for breaking their silly "rules". Do not contact the comapny and ignore any correspondent from them. it's as simple as that!

Relax, ignore them and enjoy Christmas.

G24 is not a PPC that I can recall EVER having chanced their arm with Court. So they can't send bailiffs's round, the law doesn't allow them to without the small matter of winning in Court first.

Ignoring debt collector threatograms is easy, just get familiar with the letter-chain now.

    :)

Why bother? Anyway they won't have photographic evidence of the driver. They might have a lovely picture of the car, but, unless the company has a data-base containing photos of everyone in the country, they are stymied.

Please stop worrying. You are taking G24 too seriously. They are just a tin-pot private parking company with no more powers than you or me to demand money off a private citizen.

No, waste of time, you'll get the usual theatograms either way and probably an extra letter in the form of a rubbish reply asking YOU to name the driver (which you do not have to at all, this is not an enforcement authority, it's a private company!).

Stop worrying please, you are taking this too seriously!

HTH, now concentrate on Christmas plans and forget about this rubbish.

Ok will do.....but it is quite intimidating and I can see why people pay up.
Thank you all...I do feel reassured!
  • Do not worry about the threatening language used and only courts can appoint bailiffs. It is just pathetic scare tactic used to disguise the fact that these pondlife does not have a leg to stand on. Heed the sound advice you have been given, I am sure your family has a greater need for your money rather than this robbing filth.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!
