I want to make a music track shorter so I can fit it on a CD using Windows Media Player. Anyone know how to? Thanks for your help.

the only way i know of is with sound editing software,
I recently had to copy a cassette for my daughter onto a cd (it was recordings from her drama group),
the windows sound editor wont do it.
there are some good sound editors around , i used 'all sound recorder xp'
have a look at https://www.tucows.com, they list freeware/shareware and demo softwaresmile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Nero Burning Rom users already have basic software to do this - Nero Wave Editor. Find it in the Nero Program Group on the Start Menu.Alex Jones0
