Really annoyed. I received a letter fron a bailff today with regard to a £10.40 sellers fees i had with Ebay. The letter stated that as i hadnt paid the fees i had to pay £18.40 as there was an admin fee now. If i fail to do that within 48 hours they will go to court for a CCJ and fees will rocket.
Spoke to them and they said i must pay. Problem is i have paid a few days back. They said they were handed the debt on the 17th October, however i paid the debt on the 16th October and it was accepted. Phoned them back and they said tough, i have now got 24 hours to pay the debt, failure to do so will result in going to court. They said dont ring back unless i am ready to pay the debt!!
Tried to get hold of Ebay but obviously all you can do is email them!!! I am annoyed now

how did you pay ? if by card then contact your bank and ask for a print out of transactions and payments made on that day & following days it would show up and theres your proof. also contact debt collectors again asking for it in writing ( if you havnt already got it )so you got it to compare dates if you payed before the debt was handed over then they cant do anything....IMOHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Hiya,
Sorry I can't find eBay's phone number but here's their fax number 0207 681 2348
Failing any resolution you could always go to court and show them the proof that you have paid.Don't sweat the small stuff ................It's all small stuff!0 -
Thanks all. They were handed it on the 17th Oct as confirmed twice by them and the debt was paid via paypal and accepted by Ebay on the 16th October. I still have the emails to confirm this and have just printed them off to send to the debt collectors. I also received an email off Ebay on the 16th stating, thank you for your payment, your account is reopened and dont let this happen again.
