Laptop advice

Hopefully this will be the last time I bother you with a query regarding laptops etc.

Does anybody have any views on the following laptops, both from PC World:

TOSHIBA Satellite C660-108

or

PACKARD BELL EasyNote TM97-GN-030UK

If
you are don't rate either are their any other models you would recommend from PC World for under £430?

As always any help would be gratefully appreciated!

The second seems to have hdmi so can use hd tv. Why not a budget laptop ? Why pcworld? -they have a poor aftersales rep.

PC world is round the corner from my house and I need the laptop for tomorrow so it is the only real option unfortunately, unless I go to Tescos.

Plus they are offering 0% for 6 months which is ideal for me at this time!

Apart from the HD thing, do they seem OK to you?
  • To add to this I'm using it for surfing net, making videos and excel stuff.

Both more than capable of what you need - try google for review/comparison.

Nice one. Tried google first but no reviews unfortunately. No problem and thanks for confirmation they should both be capable.
  • Personally I would avoid Toshiba and plump for the Packard Bell. I used to own a Toshiba and it gave me no end of problems, it was also built like a brick. My son has a Packard Bell for Uni and loves it, no problems at all.... Just my opinion.
