How Long To Survey

Hi

I would just like to say a big thank you :T to everyone who has helped me on this forum.

We have had an offer accepted on our house last Friday, both solicitors were instructed on Monday. Mortgage offers in place, and I just wanted to know how long will it be before our buyers have their survey done on our house.
What is usually the norm???

I am really really nervous. Our buyers are in rented, we are buying our dream house a new build that will be ready by the end of Novemeber and our buyers want to be in for Christmas, so so far it is looking good.

I, along with so many of you are so worried that things will go wrong and I think that once they have had the survey done then at least I know that they are serious about buying our house. They offered us more or less the asking price for our house as long as we can be moved before Christmas.

Both our buyers and ourselves have 3 children. Would you start packing now?? I started sorting out yesterday, but something stopped me carrying on.

Thank you once again.

  • My main concern is that you are moving to a new build.

Have you been the property recently - does it look like it will be ready at the end of November? Has the developer actually committed to this date, or is this just the latest estimate?
    Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac ;)
  • Hi

The house is more or less ready now.
They have paid our 5% deposit on the condition that we complete before Christmas, so it is really down to them now.

    Thank you for your reply
