travelling to cambridge whats roads like/weather?

I managed to get one the travellodge deals £9 rooms for 2 nights. we are booked to leave today ( we are going from picking the children up from school) we are in leicester where the snow is clearing roads are clear. We need to check what its going to be like we will probably be travelling A14. we are staying fourwentways Abington Cambridge.
Does anybody live down that way are the main roads ok, my mother is worried about us travelling there
also does anybody know a decent weather forecase because bbc and metcheck are telling me completely different things lol
Any help would be appreciated

Its ok down here.Go east towards Essex and you will hit snow,north of Peterboro into Lincolnshire the same.But A14 should be clear subject to the usual Huntingdon-Cambridge hold ups.

A14 / A1 clear
