No inventory list!

Hi,
I have a concern, My partner and I moved into a rented property 6months ago. We went through a letting agent but then our landlord decided to take over management after.
With all the paperwork we had prior to moving in, there was no inventory list included and due to numerous problems we had at the start with the landlord we totally forgot about the inventory.
It's only now 6 months later that I realised that we didn't fill out the inventory, are we still able to fill one in after living in the property for 6 months, I'm keen to do one as there was stains burn marks on the carpets and damage to some of the fittings that were there when we moved in!
What am I able to do?

I never undertand when I hear tenants say "we didn't fill out the inventory". As a LL I se that very much as my job. The tenant just needs to sign/agree it.
However as for your question, this is a problem for the LL, not you. If you had signed an inventory saying, inaccurately, 'perfect condition' with no mention of stains etc, the obviously the LL could later claim you caused the stains.
But with no inventory, the LL cannot prove the stains were not there when you moved in.0
