lots of questions to be answered..........

Hi there,

hope one of the experts on here can help me out.

First part.
Have an IVA- all going reat - no issues there at all. However we want to move to be closer to family (as they are 60 miles away) and we were told we could port our mortgage so no issues. Now we have actually asked the mort co they have said we can't port anymore as we are no longer locked in to a term with them.

Would anyone know of ANY company that we could remortgage with in order to move homes?

Second part.
Would we be allowed to sell up and offer F&F to the IVA peeps and end it all early, then we able to get a morgage elsewhere?

we feel trapped now and am looking for a way out (*NOT OF THE IVA - THE HOUSE!)

anyone know??

thanks

    It's not good news...

    1) Snowballs chance in hell of finding a mortgage.

    2) If you sell up, any equity you release should be going towards your IVA anyway so it's not exactly something extra you could offer to your creditors as a F&F. Some of the equity you could retain as reasonable relocation costs I suppose (and perhaps you could offer that in lieu of further payments) but it really is going to depend on your I&E... if you still have a disposable income then why would your creditors agree to end the IVA early?

You could sell up, offer the equity and continue the IVA, that way you're not still tied to the house, but your IVA wont end early.
Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?
