gott this today minus the pork join, which in my opinion was on the skinny side for £4 joint. I preferred to buy veg pack, soups and trifgles seperate for 50p each, then got a decent sized unplumped with water shoulder of pork for just over a fiver.added on to that the 50p stuff meal deal cost me 7 but with a much larger joint of pork.
My poor 15 yr old daughter broke her wrist i 5:eek: places tonight poor little mite was screaming in agony, all casted temp now and fingers crossed no surgery needed to fix.
    get well soon honey .

    Makes sense.

Also worth looking in the reduced section - they had to empty the freezer end offers to fill them with this offer. So they dumped all the other stuff in reduced.

All the half price curries @ £1.64 were knocked down again to £1.39 so I picked up 20 or so of those, cheap meal and very tasty curries.

Loads of time to best before but going in the freezer anyway.

Can someone please tell me if it is possible to freeze the trifle?
I would have thought so. Will confirm in a wee while as I'm away to get the deal.

I don't think the cream or custard would freeze very well, jelly?

the trifle OH got today is use by 10th so a good 7 days on it keep in the fridge.
It doesn't say it can be frozen and judging from general freezing advice I would say not a good idea. I believe the gelatine doesn't react too well to being frozen. Custard can be frozen as can fresh cream, but usually they require a bit of a mix/whip up once defrosted to use.

BTW agree about the joint not sure it would have been worth £7, but a good bargain for £4. OH did say there were a lot of fatty or thin ones and he had to have a good root around to find a decent one.

Got some from Lincoln store this morning. The soup will be a great pasta sauce base for 50p a pot.

The offer does finish on Sunday though.

The pork is not as good a value as other offers for leg pork in tesco £2.99kg and sainsburys £3.34kg as its only 900g for £4.
