i bow down to your experiance.........oh bye the way whens the last time you voided,7 day cancelled,completed a Police statement,attended as a witness,reviewed a security survey,subsidence survey,building survey,engineers report,claims report,claims validation report,counter terrorism enquiry.......
Ooooo, what's this? The young gorilla jumps on a log, roars, and exposes his genitals to the alpha male in challenge?
OK! When's the last time you: authored three complex wordings used in the international war and special risks markets; had an audience with a head of state to discuss the insurance industry in his country; helped to construct reinsurance programmes for primary market insurers; supervised the defence activities of lawyers for an entire book of liability business; established and hosted the monthly meetings of a London Market claimsmen's association; created manuscript coverages for (and then found markets to insure) "uninsurable" risks; traveled internationally to promote new coverages; represented a prominent U.S. independent claims service in London; ran your own specialised claims investigation company . . .
Put your willy away, son. The challenge was over even before you jumped onto the log!42 years of experience in the insurance industry.
And nothing the industry tries do to us surprises me any more!0 -

Glass houses, their owners and stones
would he be covered
FT if you look at the original post and the question he posted r.e the alarm, I looked at it from a grass roots level and assumed the OP meant Burglar Alarm,if any different the OP would have come back and advised. But to post your reply
"Oh? Where do you find evidence of this from the info supplied? The insurer told the OP that they have not been insured the last four years. That sounds a lot more general than specific to me. And why assume a burglar alarm? Could as easily be a smoke/fire alarm but OP hasn't been very specific"
No the OP was not specific but if you look at the whole post in context I think we can make some assumptions until advised otherwise.0 -

And because you made assumptions (instead of asking for more info) you made a worthless observation. Well done.42 years of experience in the insurance industry.

TMI... lol
DH just reminded me the family member I was mentioning in this post comes on MSE. Best err on the side of caution even if it was to help the OP.Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...0 -

yep,it could have been a Tsunami Alarm,Car Alarm,Earthquake Alarm,Avalanche Alarm,Toxic Level Alarm,Early Warning Alarm.......the list is endless.
but if it was a burglar alarm is was a correct observation in that an insurance company would normally exclude theft if a burglar alarm was not fitted as required.
Would that be your conclusion if it is a burglar alarm?0
