This has happened to me 3 times in as many weeks so I've lost quite a bit of money.
Does anyone know how to not receive payments funded from a credit card?
The only thing I can see on paypal is how you want your name to appear on the payees credit card bill.0 -

You could downgrade your acount so that you can only accept cleared funds. This does mean you're not allowed to show the paypal logos on your listings. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

Unfortunately sending to an unconfirmed address can lead to trouble like this. There's not a lot you can do, I'm afraid. My TV is broken!

I will keep an eye on this unconfrimed address business but lots of buyers seem to be unconfirmed and you dont know they are until theyve won the item - obviously. Guess you're then stuck with telling them that you wont sell them the item!! Seems a hassle though esp when theyve paid immediately thru paypal. Guess thats the chance you take though
Thanks again. Head spinning so off to bed....0 -

Yeah, I had a £100+ transaction. I refunded and asked the buyer nicely to get himself confirmed and re-pay. It was a hassle but I explained I was unhappy selling otherwise.
I don't take chances having read what I have about paypal. Remember, it only takes minutes to get confirmed. My TV is broken!

Thanks , you've been really helpful. Just one last thing though, if I insist on a confirmed address, I am def protected? :T

To be protected in the eyes of paypal, the transaction must have on it:
- Address confirmed
- Seller protection: Eligible
To further protect yourself, you may wish to send via a trackable method, as this will prevent item not received chargebacks in most cases.
I have not heard of a case where someone has lost out to a fraudulent (credit card fraud) funds reversal when the above criteria have been met.My TV is broken!
