Honeymoon suggestions in Asia

Hello
I've managed to convince my partner that a three week trek to Everest Base Camp is a good honeymoon (!). It's a scientific expedition with a project I've been involved with for some time. It will be quite hard work so we were wanting to find somewhere to go for a week afterwards.
We need somewhere we can get to fairly easily and cheaply from Kathmandu. Unfortunately we'll be there at the beginning of June which is monsoon season for a lot of places. We've looked at India for example, and places like Goa will be monsooned out apparently.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
Nicole

Thai have daily flights from Kathamandu. Why don't you head to Koh Samui?
If I was you, i'd be governed by flights, and fewer airlines fly intra-asia to Kathmandu than they used to. I'd take advantage of this Thai flight for accessibility.0 -
And they say the rainy season doesn't really start until September. Worth a look, thanks for the suggestion.

Mmm. And very jealous re Everest Base Camp trek, always wanted to do it.
Koh Samui strikes me as the perfect place to rest your weary feet afterwards wether budget or luxurious, it'll be good weather and reasonably quiet.0 -

Goa in monsoon might be a brilliant place for a honeymoon? It's quieter, cheaper, and incredibly vibrant and green. It's still hot, you get tremendous downpours which then clear and dry up quickly, the sea's rough but you can still have a great time.
Why not combine with a trip via Agra and the Taj Mahal?
With the opening up of the budget flight market you can get around India much cheaper than you could only a few years ago.
