you can purchase a special powder filler which is very easy to sand down (just mix what you need with water). I'm currently using some on my newly plastered walls to fill imperfections. I'm using the B&Q one.0

ready made filler is also available for those who can't be bothered mixing powder and water!0

I used something called "once" from Wickes. Doesn't require mixing or sanding.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Ready made 'FINE' filler is excellent for filling just small holes...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
