my partner parked my car on the road while he moved his car as hes going out early in the morning. as someone came round the corner he did a 180 and hit my car. he has damaged the door its dented where his rear bumper hit it and pushed out at the top and my wing is also dented in. its a 2005 mazda 6 ts2. any idea of the damage cost only roughly as i have 10 years no claims and even though its not my fault its still going to be on my record. and be honest what difference will this have on my insurance. i haven't told the insurance company at the moment im waiting till the morning when im calmer.

Get a quotes from a few bodyshop garages first, then decide whether the cost isn't too bad to pay. This way you do not involve the insurance company, wont lose ncd and they will have no record of this misfortune.0

The other guys insurance should pay out as the accident wasn't the OP's fault. The OP's NCD should remain intact, but the premium may rise. It will be in the T&C's that the insurance co. be informed of any accident.0 -
My bad, I thought she meant her husband hit her car......
Yes all insurer state to inform them in an event of an accident in their T&C. Someone very lightly rear ended my car this summer, no damage done. No chance of me telling insurer about that!0 -
OP- when is your policy due for renewal?0

im so angry as its the car i take the children to school in and my 6 month old and i didn't want it moved. i refused as i could see it was dangerous conditions. rant over. im going to have to tell the insurance. i think the damage will be too much anyway to just get repaired. im not looking forward to daylight to see the extent of it!.Converted comper to MSE.
