    WOW!!!!!!
bed went up in the final seconds to a whopping £65!!!!:j
on the down side, MrLurks is out tonight & has just told me that he collided with a pheasant & has cracked the grill on the front of the car:mad::mad:. so the bed dosh can go towards the repair. hey ho, would have been nicer if it could come off the debt....but such is life!

6 minutes left on the remaining item.....

I need to get out more! but having eBay stuff ending on a Friday night is much more appealing

    £97.22!!!!!:j:j

How cool is that, pity we can't do it more often. Now just have to hope that the rest of the plan comes together & the buyers want to collect over the bank holiday (ideally sunday as we have no plans for the day)

made some dosh & cleared some space, double whammy!!

V quick update to remind me what I am doing this weekend!!!

Hopped onto the scales - lost 1lb!! I dont get it, I may not have indulged in the calorie machine, but this week have eaten cake, bacon butty, chips, chinese (that was all one day) not to mention more than a handful of celebrations....how does that work?!

No. not questionning it. will happily accept the loss & hope for more!

Need to do a quick tidy round then jump into shower, smother me in mosturiser (using up supplies, clearing space in bathroom) & be ready to go out with my mum by 10.

Need to get tea out from freezer....typing interrupted....done.

eBay buyer #1 is collecting tonight around 6.30, so need to find instructions for bed self assembly.

Also need to update all spreadsheets as it was payday for MrLurks yesterday...

tomorrow is lazy/housework when i can be bothered day + maybe more bits on eBay. then on Monday we will be using the groupon voucher I bought a few weeks ago to go Zorbing!! I figure that should burn some calories, even if it is only for a few minutes!!

I also need to pay a visit to the supermarket at some stage but should be able to get away with minimal spend....hmmm have heard trhat one before!!

  • I hope that there isnt a society for the neglect of diaries - if so I am in deep do-do!!

We bit the bullet & booked a holiday courtesy of the 0% card. & it was bl**dy lovely!! We did very little, chilled out, reviewed the last roller coaster 12 months and re-connected. Just what we needed so am not going to feel guilty about prioritising us over debt-busting.

We came back to find that MrLurks daughter had run up a rather large phone bill. great.

On the plus side, mortgage payment came down as lender had recalculated at the end of a fixed rate on the wrong rate - worth £7-£9k to us over the term - woo!

we've done some card shuffling & extended the 0% interest term & have spreadsheet that shows the exact position we are in. Its not pretty, but we can't hide from it.

I was lucky enough to leave early from work today & used the time wisely - my lunches are ready for the next 2 days, am ready for a cuppa so will make MrLurks while kettle is boiling.....& not get a biscuit to go with the tea...

  • lunches are made, kitchen, living room & bedroom fairly tidy.

also started on plan to re-use curtain from patio door at previous house over the front door of new one & keep house cosy. will have the option to use part of it over the back door to, should we decide we need to.

half of next weeks meal plan is done, but I need to work on some lighter evening meals to aid with cost & weight reducing.

today was NSD, although that was more by luck than self-control - chocolate money was out of the purse and on the desk, luckily my lift turned up before work stress could take over - why can't I turn to fruit to ease stress???

limbo land until payday (Friday). want to be doing something constructively debtbusting.....just dont know quite what!!

  • quick update to keep me on the straight & narrow

small unplanned spend on sunday, which was much better than it could have been - the washing machine is so full of limescaley nastiness clothes are coming out dirtier than they go in....wasted an hour looking at shiny new toys....but instead MrL has removed the seal thing and a new one has been ordered & will hopefully fix the problem £25 is much better than the £700 I was looking at!!

NSD yesterday, today small topup shop & paid for parking grrr

still need to make a couple of payday payments, which i will do later while MrL watches football. right now, i need to get off my butt & attack the ironing pile while i have possession of the remote control.....dont know why the ironing fairy doesnt work for me.....

  • & another week disappears with very little progress.
I can blame this on having a cold, being borderline migrainey & feeling generally bleugh.

    ________________________________________________________

right. thats the line drawn under the week!
    onwards & upwards.
overtime tomorrow, then onto Mr T for the weekly shop, pottering about the house, then fireworks - MrLurks suggested we eat out (& i was wavering) but then came up with a much better idea - to come home to jacket spuds (we used to do this with my mum & Nan when we could walk to a display & it was so lovely). So thats the plan - quite healthy too, i think

Sunday will be more pottering, & maybe if we pull our fingers out, an ebayfest & doing a few more little jobs in the house - mirrors & pictures on walls - its nearly a year since the move, we shouldnt still have stuff in boxes!!!

  • Christmas starts today!!!

Mum & I are off to Christmas Fayre today, after going to the Cathedral for Rememberance...so technically Christmas starts about 11.30!!

Dishwasher is emptied, washing machine is on, chicken is out of freezer reeady for fajitas tonight.

Its been a good week. we have mirrors on walls, nice heavy curtain over the front door for extra snugness & its date night tonight:j.

Spending diary required from Monday, have drifted to the machine a couple of times this week, nothing horrendous, but demotivator tool required.

ok got to go, hair wont dry itself

  • Christmas Fayre was lovely, was able to buy a few Christmas presents & feel like I was supporting local(ish) businesses.

Was a major change from my normal weekend which usually consist of overtime, supermarket run & housework. Even spent all day Sunday with my head in a book. Talk about bliss!!

Sunday & Monday were NSD. yesterday was LSD as needed bread to go with yummy egg n chip tea.
Today also NSD, but thats becuase I was able to use Dads Taxi service to get home (bless him, he thought those days were over when I moved out!!). money was out of purse and ready for the machine BUT I didnt give in. small element of self control.

Finally got through to the electricity company who have agreed to reduce DD back to normal having said they were going to increase iy by 39%!!!
Am still in credit with them, but I think its time to gocompare.....considering we inherited them as supplier from the previous owners, sorting out switching was supposed to happen in March time, once things had settled down! Better late than never though.......

  • Comparison done, switch started, should save £15 a month & assuming it tracks ok & pays, quidco cashback.
