& its back to earth with a vengeance!
The week(ish) away was wonderful & we were pretty good with the spends.
But, Mr Lurks may have lost his wallet containing dollars that we didnt spend and were due to be paid off the credit card once changed back to sterling - approx £100! am trying not to stress too much as he may have left it at work......

we are about to start planning a new budget which should help us focus better - assumig of course I can get him completely on board to get rid of the credit cards - on the plus side they are all on interest free so theres no battle with nasty interest charges but I sometimes struggle with it for the same reason!

I also need to take proper charge of my weight. I have been talking about it but not actually done anything about it.

    So,the plan
    New Budget
Post total o/s debt on 1st of month
Post current weight on 1st each month
& hopefully will then be able to post a reducing figure for both!!

I really need to make the effort to post more often, am sure things were working better for me when I did. Also need to get the pedometer out again......

off to check bank account & surveys....

Am already a day behind plan, but thats cos I went out last night!!

Total Debt as at 1/7/2011 (all on 0%)

    £8724.59:eek::eek::eek:

This is spllit over 3 cards and another 18 months on sofa repayments. The Credit Cards are what need to be addressed. Balance on them as at 1/7/2011

    £7406.15:eek::eek:

Weight 11st 10:D (this gets a :D because this time last week I was 12st!!!)

Off swimming now, then back home to meal plan, create shopping list, do housework (huge list required there to keep me focussed) & think POSITIVE

Just got time to join July NSD before I go....I think 10 is a good target to start with!!

    Happy Saturday !!

Well I didnt do the meal plan - on the way to swimming pool car decided she was v short on petrol . this meant shopping after the swim as
    1) Mr T is offering 5p a litre of petrol for £50 spend
    2) they are already the cheapest in the area
    3) I had voucher for £7 off a £50 spend

with shoppig list in head i spent (after multibuys) £48!!! I had expected that so had worked out what i could easily grab to take me to the required spend without holding up the queue. so its all good.

I have forgotten a few things, but nothing essential.
Freezer is now loaded with stuff & I've made another batch of spag bol sauce to use up some tired looking bits from the fridge - that needs to go in the freezer once cooled, no idea where it will fit!

On the slightly naughty side I have bought a new skirt & pair of cropped trousers. The skirt is for work (i like to keep work & me clothes seperate as much as possible, and tend to downgrade 'my' clothes to 'work' clothes) and should be nice for the summer. The cropped trousers are for me, and should replace a pair that I have practically lived in for the past 4 years....they will now become gardening clothes!! Total cost £23 - I do like Factory Warehouse!

Also went strawberry picking....yummmy....so have them to wash etc....didnt sample too many before deciding which variety to have!!

so, the exercise from the swim & the fresh air from strawberries has left me quite sleepy...theres only one thing for it......snooze in the sun......zzzzzzz

I shall have to have a look at that one, thank you!

This week has been the proper start to the healthy eating & exercise plan - we have been swimming twice and it caught up with me last night, was sooo very tired, and now muscles are a bit achey!!! still its early days & aches are only to be expected. It did mean that I so far into the land of nod that the usual nightly soundtrack of Mr Lurks snoring didnot affect me at all....I did however wake this morning to the snoring of the Kitty....

Long weekend, seemed to lose yesterday to ironing & playing washing hokey-cokey with the rain....still I guess I did get 3 beds stripped & 2 of them remade...plus a visit to the dentist....must complete paperwork to reclaim that money from simply health....

also went to M&S to return a pair of trousers that MrLurks has worn twice....they had ripped, but not from anything he did!! Opinion from the lady at M&S was that the fabric had been weakened when the belt loop was added....me no care why, me happy with the refund to the credit card!!!

Today, is meal planning, shopping list, trip to Mr T, bathroom cleaning day. then off to see Take That...WOOOOOOOO, hopefully i can block my ears to Mr Williams foul language and it wont detract from the performance by the nicer ones!

hoping for an eBay-fest this weekend as we need to start clearing & properly organising ourselves again - getting the balance betwen work, overtime, housework, house organising, exercise, life & chilling is bloomin hard!!!!!

Enjoy Take That .. it was a good show but yes Mr Williams was a bit cringe worthy in some places !!

Take That were brilliant although I do think they work better as a 4....still, Robbie rejoining meant the tour so no complaints here.

well, except about the lack of choice of food at wembley!

The weekends food shop was nicely in budget and the nice till gave me a voucher for £7 off a £50 spend - ideally wouldnt spend that much but it allows for adding some bits to the freezer & cupboards.

nothing else interesting to report. still not had the eBay fest, and I am dog-tired so can't be a***d - its bloomin cold considering its July - where did the summer go?

am struggling with my conscience too - am so very tempted to book a holiday ...which would mean doing the exact opposite of what we are supposed to be doing....increasing the balance of the cc.....I know I sound like a spoilt brat since we've only been back a few weeks from a long weekend away but we could do with a lazy break to completely chill out & relax & de-stress ourselves.

My spendy demon is having a serious argument with my non-spendy angel.........

& Friday again, how time flies

Its been a pretty good week spends wise, no trips to the choccie machine, have paid for a couple of work things and still have a nice blue note in my purse as well as a few nuggets. Ideally the £5 would be paid off the credit card, but I have a couple of work dos this week so need to keep it to aid with the funding

Its payday too, so time to play with pennies & spreadsheets.
Overtime tomorrow, I am aiming to get 4 hours in, instead of my normal 3....will see how i do - in about 20 months of doing overtime I've never made it in that early!!
On the way home will visit MrT armed with shopping list which is just about finished, need a quick check of the freezer and a browse of the internet to get some ideas for healthy snacks.....

We've managed 2 swims this week, Mondays was horrible, the pool was so crowded with nightmare teenagers. Tonights was lovely, different pool, quieter, considerate young people. a nice way to start the weekend. have also done a half hour walk 4 out of 5 lunchtimes this week, legs are suffering, but hope to start seeing some results soon

early night is needed if I am going to make it in to work for 8, but not sure that Kitty will allow it - she's a bit freaked having had a little encounter with my mums dog. She was quicker than him & he's so dumb he forgot he was chasing her once she was out of sight!! Having spent an hour inside getting over the stress, she now wants to go out....typical!!

eek, have just bitten the bullet & bought something via Groupon!!!
Meant to do it yesterday but forgot, so decided that if the deal was no longer available, it wasnt meant to be.....but it was so i bought!!
at some stage over the summer, we will be Zorbing!! its on my bucket list, the price was 62% lower than if we'd just rolled up on the day....and i figure it should burn some calories so is a win win situation

Good thing I didnt gt it yesterday as it would have ruined a NSD - today is a SD, cos am seeing Mr T later

hmmm, 15 minutes to get ready for work if i am going to make it for 8.....still got tea to be drunk, hair to tame, clothes to put on.....MOVE IT WOMAN!!!!!

oh dear its all going backwards:o:o:o

am weighing daily (which in itself probably isnt a good thing) & thats going in the wrong direction

car needed 4 new tyres:eek::eek: and we have decided to take advantage of the % on the cc & redecorate our bedroom (which also means carpet etc)and also try a get a cheap week away somewhere.

I know I need slapping. I do truely want to clear the cards & lose the weight. but the numbers are not backing that up.

I suppose its all about balance.
I want the house to feel properly ours - our stuff, colours schemes etc. Do I need it? honestly? 49% no, 51% yes. & that 1% is enough. so this is the last room we will do without actually saving for it. the rest of the house can & will wait.
As for the holiday, it might not happen, but i hope it will because thats more to give us a break from everything else. a chance to relax and recharge our batteries ... i think the Lake District might be quite nice for that......
