how can i reduce my postage?

i am selling some stuffs on ebay, and i can sent them to my customes with royal mail first class stamps before 21st of Augest however, because of the size of my stuffs,after that date the postage rose to 84p for second and a pound for first class. due to the fact that my stocks only worth 99p,what should i do then? is there any way to by stamps with discount prices? thanks.

    Unfortunately, you are stuck! These price increases were published some 5 months before they came into effect, so there is really no excuse for you being taken by surprise.

    I do have a suggestion though - would your items sell in 2s or 3s? The prices you quoted for post covers items up to 100g (up from 60g), so you might be able to send 2 or 3 for the same postage, in effect halving it per-item.

    If you can post details of what you sell, someone might be able to suggest a different way to package it to get it into the Large Letter rate?

    Can anyone remember what it cost to send a Video, 1st class UK this time last year? I was just about to send one, would cost £1.70 now, think I have changed my mind.

    It used to be 88p second class and is now £1.39 second class for a standard video.
