i'm wanting to buy an up to date versionas mine is 2003
various sites have autoroute 2006 .. think amazon best at about £21
but ... amazon also shows a microsoft autoroute 2007 (pc) at £33 ....
but don't understand why it has (pc) in its' description ...
and it's shown as a dvd rom instead of a cd rom
can anyone help clarify whether this 2007 is what i'm after.
thanks

I think that the "(PC)" bit just means that it will only run on Windows, and it states only XP in the description. 2007 is not released until Friday (27th).
As long as you want to install it on a PC running windows, that should be the one you want.- = I also recognise the Robins and beep for them = -0 -
omerton .. yes, noticed on the amazon site it said launched 27th which made me feel ok that it was therefore bang up to date ... but was a bit curious that all the comparison sites had no mention of the 2007 .
Also no mention of it on microsofts' own site ?
also a bit suspicuous that if it was a brand new version .. why amazon were discounting it so much even before it's launched .
suppose i have little to lose if i order it .. i'll be able to send it back if not correct / suitable
running it on my laptop with xp is fine which is what i do with my exsisting one.0 -
i gave up using autoroute. i found AA or RAC routefinders much better and up to date.
the only thing i missed initially was the "find nearby" options for long journey stopovers but they are easy enough to find through google or similar in any caseNever put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

personally I always use multimap.com for finding places and routes... also goggle Earth isn't bad if you want a detailed picture of the place you need to go as sometimes maps don't actually look like the place and it gets confusing.0
