I've got my eye on some sperm though for the special girl, she probably won't take because she's getting on a bit and the sperm I want is only available frozen.

Well that made my eyes wake up!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Grabbit is like a couple of puffs on a toke - if you want to speedball your credit card I recommend hotukdeals...

I have NEVER even opened the Grabbit board nor heard of hotukdeals. Should this change?

I look at the Grabbit board, think "oooohhhh" and then realise I don't have the money anyway.

Sometimes there are bonuses to not having the buying power.....I could spend oodles from the offers on there!

Best not too. Far too easy to spend money. x

For the earning potential (which I revised upwards) it will all be suck. Its kind of like the Credit crunch style banking, its all negative numbers so doesn't feel real IYSWIM.... Felt a LOT richer with it in cash, rightly or wrongly!

    Speculate to accumulate.

I'm sure you'll be more than welcome caroline.

Wageslave! :blushing: I miss the absolute hilarity of your posts.

lemonjelly has been busy reading books, going to see comedians, and last night enjoying the new Harry Potter film in an imax cinema. Veru good - but I'm angry about having to wait until summer for part 2.

Oh, & fretting over what to get for my fathers 65th - which if those who were helpul with suggestions were wondering - I'm hovering towards a day at a famous golf course (such as the belfry, st andrews etc - but blimey, it is a little bit more pricey than first envisaged - but it is his 65th...)

I think it may be beneficial for me to avoid the grabbit boards...

I wish! Its dobbins. I reckon I top out my dobbin earning potential at about £800 a week for that at this place though...and not anytime soon.

I do have a birdy business arm....and its hilarious but I'm keeping schtum because it might not happen and its too weird and I don't want anyone to nip in and jump on the offer been made to me...if it can be done I'll be doing it, but now is NOT the right time.

Sometimes you have to be brave. But I agree timing is everything. As a personal and financial investment it has to work for you.

For me it worked - an opportunity came along at just the time where I needed to get out of my job and a complete change of direction was what I needed. If the opportunity hadn't been around at just the time that I felt my job was personally threatening to stifle me (physically and mentally) I wouldn't have been prepared to take the financial risks that were involved. As it happened entering the unknown career wise was the best thing that happened. Being a naturally conservative person the idea of running my own business was alien, but being forced to try something new really worked out for me.

    Serendipity.

    Welcome Caroline!

New thread new people, good! And some of the much loved old crowd (not that you are old WS).

Just back from the vet with Bombay Duck the feral. She's had an upset tummy for a very long time, pretty much since arriving, and the vet has been saying its stress, its stress....but I decided I wanted to take a sample in and they suggested bringing her in for a good exam under sedation. Well, beggar me I'm good at this animal stuff because the feral cat was examined without sedation and purred and rubbed her head against me. The vet and vet nurse couldn't believe it...and frankly neither could I. She purred through two injections and a worming. :)

Slight worry is she might have something zoonotic we could all get but very, very pleased with that brave little cat: A cat that was untouchable let alone handleable just a few weeks ago. :)
