Oh know, I'm in print...in the Press, not the publishers. If only it were a book or book contribution I'd be chuffed!
House looks as good as it can.....any one else do the ''This thing has no home so for the guests coming it will go in my bedroom.'' thing? I don't know how I'll get in the room tonight! I put washed unironed laundry in one of the spare rooms usually....I now have a small nice smelling mountain if stuff to deal with in my bedroom. As my back is now playing silly beggars I can't even get the ironing board up there for tomorrows day time entertainment.
Just the dining room hoovering to do urgently now.I have the back hall floors to do, but won't be bringing anyone in that way, so if I don't get to it....people might not find out.
I want a bath, but I already washed it ...d'oh.0 -

Not sure If I've done my house selling anecdote - we have an mpv car, before viewings we would fill it to the roof with bit of toys etc that had no home and then drive round the corner so the road did not look like it had 'skip' cars on it...lostinrates wrote: »Oh know, I'm in print...in the Press, not the publishers. Y'know, apart from when she's hospitalised, she smiles in every single picture I see.
Makes me feel guilty for moaning about meaningless rubbish...:o
Good Luck! I don't do facefook though.
Let us know when the website's up will ya?:)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Actually, I forgot - in fact we moved both cars round the corner just before the viewing was due so it would look like it wasn't impossible to find a parking space on the roadNot sure If I've done my house selling anecdote - we have an mpv car, before viewings we would fill it to the roof with bit of toys etc that had no home and then drive round the corner so the road did not look like it had 'skip' cars on it...I think....0

Did this require careful timing, so the spaces didn't get filled up before your viewers arrived? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
LIR's now waiting in some cold car park for a coach to arrive, no doubt.
She's met Godzilla .... and noted the stern and disapproving look dished out.
So .... question is, will she lose one...? "Lose one?" you ask. Kids do funny things while away - I had two that went walkabouts on their daytrip, delaying the coach from returning from that day's outing by 1 hour .... and 25 sets of families waiting at three venues to collect. Bit of a night that was.0 -
Getting error messages, my last message didn't get through I don't think.... which basically said it's the time that LIR's picking up her mites.
Edit: Oh, it did get there. Silly server.0 -

You sorted out a trust then, I thought it couldn't be done - glad you found a way.
At some future point, once I've got the hang of this "making stuff for sale" malarky, I'll probably be asking you how it'd be possible to legally and properly enable donations from sales.... I don't even have one item for sale yet though, or a website0 -

It seems to have deleted my post, though. Let me see if I can remember what I said......
I told lir that yes, I too shove things into my bedroom to get them out of the way if there are visitors.
I sent best wishes to IM, and suggested that he post details of how to give to the trust once it's up and running so that we can all contribute (including me).
I told Malcolm that Monks Park, Filton and Patchway schools were all poorly regarded thirty years ago but may be great by now for all I know, and that Redland Green School is thought to be a good comprehensive but is probably not far enough out towards Filton for his family (besides being in an area of expensive housing). I offered to ask a friend on a Bristol PGCE course to find out about schools in north Bristol for him. She should be able to find out about primary schools as well as secondaries, unlike me. (I don't know how long you envisage staying in Bristol, Malcolm. Might it be long enough for secondary schools to become relevant?)
I think that's about all. Let's see if it posts it correctly this time.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0
