You know, that is what I struggle to understand. If you can do that, then why exactly do you need to get a job anyway?
Why can't you just write Amazon product reviews?
A hundred product reviews for products worth $250 or more, each in the first 5 places in google, and you are looking at a lot of money.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

I wouldn't be selling the box. It was an indication that I think I've found something to manufacture that doesn't require any special location/space.
In the box will be stuff .... and the expertise is in my head. Then I'd flog it, online, using my online marketing skills to bring me traffic... only other fly in the ointment is design, I need to create some "lifestyle" around it, inject some personality into my copywriting - and I do hate to write like that as it's awkward for me....
Anyway, it's just an idea.
It's cheap, doable, portable, low cost, low risk .... and so I'm going to give it a whirl. If I am successful, you'll buy one of these for next Xmas for somebody you know, just because you think I'm awesome
As for the rest of you ... you're not getting off lightly either :P
Tesco were selling a book called starting a business online. It didn't tell you what to sell, just how to get going with an idea, getting a website up and running, showing up on google etc.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. PasturesNew wrote: »That is something I could do, but fail at interviews as I say daft stuff when they ask irrelevant questions
I've had interviews for similar jobs .... and I guess they end up choosing the under 30/has a degree person over me.
Also, by the time you get to interview, having ticked all the boxes on the ad, seems to have morphed into a different role that includes aspects I've not done. I think people re-write the job spec between advertising and interviewing.
And nobody sets you a test ... which could be done. They could simply say: "Here's a page, do something that gets to number one in Google that then links to the page we've given you. You have 72 hours". Then I'd get it
Given what you've said here Pastures, I'd apply for jobs, say that you're a high functioning Aspie, and that while you don't do well at interviews because of AS, then you'd be to prove your skills as above. Put yourself in the driving seat. If they say no, at least you don't need to chase around pointless interviews. Honestly, I don't know how this would go. Some firms would be closed to the idea because "that's not how we do things", but someone enlightened might give you a shot. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? No harm in asking though? You don't ask, you don't get.
It's a bit out of your comfort zone but it could zone in to your real weakness at interviews instead of your perceived ones.
Tried to go out today and all the shops were shut :eek:0 -

I'd say this is a very good idea.
Mainly it would show prospective employers that if you hit an aspie wall you will find a way over or under it.

Poundland is great. However, you do need to be careful of what you buy. They were selling single asparagus crowns and single raspberry canes for £1.
But we have some of the swell gel and the feed (I am not completely organic, I use formulated feeds) is good value. Lots of sundries are good value too. Wilko's are just as good.
I'm just waiting for the nearest garden centre to have a fig tree. My sisters spent £30 for me and that's what I want.0 -

May I recommend a Violetta fig?
we had two fruits from ours this year and they were as good as any I've had fresh and sunwarmed from the tree in the south of france and vastly superior to any Brown Turkey fig I've had here! I think I took the worng baby fruit off it..:o so not sure we'll get any this summer but the summer after.....oooh....I can't wait! I can't get enough figs.0 -

of course! I'll have to see if the garden centre does that. Otherwise, I may order it online and buy something else from there.
Investigating potatoes at the moment :rotfl::rotfl: I've turned into some deranged middle aged woman.
Cracked open the gooseberry jam this evening too. I love gooseberries0 -

I'm going to buy another fig if I can too this year, but I doubt anything will match the violetta. Even though its a hardy fig I've brought it in, its so precious!:rotfl:
I LOVE gooseberries. I made my self ill as a tiny tot gorging on them in a friends garden, and it still wasn't enough to put me off:o0 -

I've thought about it and tried reading reviews to cobble something together myself, but felt I didn't actually understand the thing well enough to write intelligently. On the other hand I've always said "nobody reads my stuff, it's just there to pull in traffic so they'll click on something more interesting".
Most money's in gadgets .... I've got a Nokia 6310 and not good at using it to send a text. I've never seen a plasma TV or a big TV, never seen/used Sky, never gamed, haven't ever seen an iPod or iPhone.... so I struggle to see what I could write about and not look an idiot.0
