Best cordless phones?

Anyone got a view on the best cordless phones? Over the past few years we've had two digital systems (both cr*p IMHO) and, latterly, a BT Quartet system (main unit + 3x handsets). These are good in that you don't need phone points around the house - but the units themselves are pretty cr*p also - the sound level/quality is generally poor.

I bought a Panasonic a couple of years ago and think it's very good.
It's got polyphonic ring tones and a very good hands free."Imagination is more Important than knowledge"0 -

Good question BertieMeldrew
We've had/have them, but the ring tones are too shrill, yet the volume levels very poor.
Are there any decent ones out there..??0
